About this role
We're looking for a passionate and strategic Marketing Director to lead Valley's brand growth and user acquisition. As our Marketing Director, you'll shape how the world discovers Valley – the professional network built for authentic connections and meaningful career opportunities. You'll work directly with the founding team to build our marketing function from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute Valley's overall marketing strategy across brand, growth, and product marketing - Build and lead a high-performing marketing team as the company scales - Own user acquisition strategy across organic and paid channels (SEO, content, social, partnerships, paid ads) - Develop Valley's brand voice, positioning, and messaging across all touchpoints - Create compelling content strategies that drive engagement and showcase Valley's unique value proposition - Manage marketing budget and optimize spend across channels for maximum ROI - Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering to align marketing with product launches and features - Establish KPIs, analytics frameworks, and reporting to measure marketing effectiveness - Build strategic partnerships with companies, influencers, and communities in the professional space - Lead PR and communications efforts to build Valley's reputation in the market
Skills Needed
Requirements
- 7+ years of marketing experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role - Proven track record of scaling user acquisition for B2C or B2B2C products - Experience building and managing marketing teams - Strong understanding of growth marketing, SEO, content marketing, and social media - Data-driven mindset with experience in marketing analytics and attribution - Excellent communication and storytelling skills - Experience in tech startups or scale-ups preferred - Passion for professional development, networking, and the future of work - Entrepreneurial spirit – comfortable with ambiguity and moving fast
