Volare raises €7.1 million and opens 5,000-tonne insect protein facility in Finland
Finnish DeepTech company Volare has inaugurated Volare 01, its first industrial-scale facility, in Pori, Finland, alongside a €7.1 million funding round. The company converts food-industry side streams into high-quality insect protein, and the new plant is designed for a 5,000-tonne capacity. The round was led by Springvest with participation from new and existing investors, including venture capital firm Maki.vc.
